"Since the establishment of the Prevention and Safety Authority in 2014, we have been committed to translating the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, into tangible reality through the development of innovative initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing human safety and protecting the community. We are diligently working to build an integrated system that ensures the highest standards of safety across the Emirate of Sharjah, driven by our firm belief that the human element is the cornerstone of progress and economic development.

To achieve this vision, we have developed advanced systems that enhance safety within the Emirate, ensuring the well-being of residents and workers across all sectors. We have also launched awareness programs tailored to community groups most vulnerable to risks, such as the elderly, as well as educational programs targeting children. In this regard, we introduced the cartoon characters "Salama and Hamoud" to promote a culture of safety among younger generations. Furthermore, we launched the "Salamatk Bus" initiative to reach workers at their workplaces and educate them on best safety practices.

We have also prioritized the development of the "Sharjah Occupational Safety and Health System," which aims to provide a safe working environment for all employees in the Emirate’s entities, protecting them from surrounding risks. Additionally, we have connected commercial buildings to the "Aman" system for electronic monitoring of fire alarm systems, enhancing response times and reducing losses caused by incidents.

We believe that all accidents can be prevented through an effective and sustainable preventive system. Therefore, we are working to promote a positive safety culture through qualified young national professionals, utilizing smart electronic platforms in preparation for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which will fundamentally transform traditional work systems. We will continue to work diligently, in partnership with all relevant stakeholders within and outside the Emirate, to enhance safety and stability in Sharjah.

We also strive to strengthen the industrial standing of the Emirate and create an attractive environment for investors by providing the necessary support to diverse industrial sectors operating across 19 industrial zones, which contribute 48% of the UAE’s gross industrial output. Through these efforts, we aim to support economic development and ensure sustainable growth in the Emirate of Sharjah."
