"The Prevention and Safety Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah was established in 2014 based on the Amiri Decree No. 55 of 2014, issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, with the aim of instilling a culture of safety and prevention in all aspects of daily life and ensuring the highest standards of public safety in the Emirate of Sharjah

Since its inception, the Authority has launched and implemented numerous strategic projects that contribute to achieving its vision of creating a safe, risk-free society. Among the most prominent of these projects is the Occupational Health and Safety System, which is considered a cornerstone in the Authority’s efforts to provide a safe and sustainable work environment. This system sets the minimum procedures and standards that must be adhered to in various work sites.

The purpose of this system is to reduce occupational accidents and injuries and ensure the safety of workers by providing clear guidelines that are uniformly applied across all sites. Additionally, the Occupational Health and Safety System works to raise awareness about the importance of safety among both workers and employers.

At the Prevention and Safety Authority, we are committed to continuously developing and updating our systems to ensure they are in line with the latest global standards and technologies. This commitment underlines our determination to make the Emirate of Sharjah a model to be emulated in the field of safety and prevention. The ongoing efforts of our team aim to protect individuals and the community, creating a safe and sustainable environment where future generations can enjoy safety and prosperity."
