The Sharjah Labor Standards Development Authority has successfully opened the Eid Al-Adha Labor Festival in the Labor Park in Al Saja’a Industrial Area in Sharjah. The opening ceremony was attended by the authority's officials, representatives of participating government bodies in Sharjah and members of the Indian Society in Sharjah. The festival includes cultural programs, free medical examinations, awareness programs, art and entertainment, and the Eid Bazaar, which includes street food and Eid gifts for more than 5,000 workers.

Salem Yousef Al Qaseer, Chairman of the Sharjah Labor Standards Development Authority, said, “We are proud of the great response witnessed by the opening of the festival, which is being held for the first time with the aim of strengthening social and cultural ties between workers residing in Sharjah of different nationalities, by bringing them together in one place where they exchange their customs and traditions related to on the feast.” He stressed that the authority is continuing to organize labor events and activities in coordination with the concerned government agencies as well as with the private sector, specifically labor-operating institutions, with the aim of strengthening relations in the work environment in Sharjah.
