Based on the vision of the Safety and Prevention Authority to reach a safe and risk-free society, the Authority announced the inspection of 2553 residential buildings during the first half of 2019 distributed in 17 residential areas, an increase of 2033 buildings compared to the same period last year, where the number of buildings Inspected during 2018 "2141 commercial residential building".

The Authority aims to inspect 5,000 buildings during 2019, as part of the strategic objectives of the Authority, which is concerned with the inspection of residential and commercial buildings for the years 2018 and 2019, in order to enhance the human and technical capabilities of the Emirate of Sharjah and the application of the highest standards of safety and prevention globally adopted to ensure the protection of society and the safety of life and property in all areas and facilities in the Emirate. Sharjah.

Eng. Tariq Haniyeh, Head of Inspection, at the Prevention and Safety Authority, pointed out that the preventive inspection campaigns that the Authority is committed to implement annually come within the annual plan of standards and conformity management, through which the Authority is keen to follow up all negative practices that would affect the safety of lives and facilities. He added: "The first objective of the inspection campaigns is to make sure that the safety requirements in the buildings are met, and to make the owners of the buildings aware of the dangers of non-compliance with these requirements and to identify the weaknesses of each building and highlighting them to the owners to be maintained and addressed within an appropriate period of time, and we have received many reactions And the effective implementation of safety requirements in buildings, in accordance with inspection reports issued by the Authority to reduce the risks associated with neglecting safety requirements. ”

It is worth mentioning that the Authority launched a safety system during the month of April, an electronic link between all the facilities of the Emirate of Sharjah and the Civil Defense Operations Room and the control and monitoring room to receive operating rooms alarm after 12 to 30 seconds from the alarm sounding at the accident site in order to respond quickly in an emergency to protect lives and property , In order to enhance safety and improve the quality of life in the Emirate.
