In line with the vision of the Prevention and Safety Authority, which seeks to reach a safe society free from hazards, the Authority held a forum for "fire system maintenance companies", in the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of 60 companies specialized in the maintenance of fire systems, where the forum aims to introduce the project "Aman" The installation of smoke detectors in the Emirate of Sharjah to ensure that the highest safety standards in the facilities, to reduce accidents.

The forum discussed the project "Aman" and knew the mechanism of work smoke detectors and linked to the operating room, and the specific timetable for installation and maintenance and monitoring the effectiveness of the work of the devices, and difficulties impeding these processes and find appropriate solutions.

Smoke is the primary responsibility for the number of deaths due to fires. The smoke detector comes as a primary warning before the spread of smoke and consequently fire.

Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Prevention and Safety Authority, said that Aman project is part of the Authority's efforts to preserve life and property and a preliminary warning means necessary to alert a fire.
