Sarah Mohamed Ahmed, a training specialist in the Sharjah Safety and Protection Authority, called on field staff and workers to become familiar with ways to prevent thermal stress factors, especially during the summer period, in which temperatures rise to a maximum.
Sarah Ahmed said in statements to "Sharjah 24", on the sidelines of a training workshop organized by the Preventive Training Institute of the authority in this context, that the institute implements a number of training and awareness programs on how to prevent health, which it needs on the occupational safety of workers and employees.
It is possible that the workshop, which was organized at the Subaih Suburb Council in the city of Khor Fakkan, attracted about 40 employees and workers from various government departments, whose nature of their work imposes exposure to the sun for long periods.
Sarah Mohamed Ahmed drew attention to the fact that the workshop dealt with the definition of the concept of heat stress, its factors and diseases resulting from it, in addition to the preventive measures, steps that should be if they occur, and the appearance of stress symptoms.
