Within the framework of the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority's endeavor to reach a safe and risk-free society, the authority recently participated in the events and festivals held in the emirate, including the "Shines with its Activities" festival in its second edition, the Fourth Generations Festival, and the National Day celebrations that were held in the National Park. and the "Suburban 11" festival.

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, visited the authority's platform at the "Shine with its Activities" festival, which was organized by the Sharjah Government Media Office at Al Majaz Theatre. His Highness was also acquainted with the awareness workshop provided by the authority to children, to raise their awareness of prevention and safety.

The authority's participation included the awareness aspect of child safety, and many topics related to children were presented through the authority's cartoon characters "Salama and Hammoud", as well as cartoon films in an interesting and simple manner, allowing children to receive information easily and conveniently, while the workshops included "Safety children in homes and schools, in addition to safety in school buses and many facilities for children”, as well as publications, stories, competitions and prizes, as these workshops targeted more than 800 children during the period of events.

The Authority's role was not limited to educating children only, but also educating parents through the "Your Safety" bus, which is a bus equipped with the latest technology that displays a series of educational films on occupational safety and health.

Sheikh Eng. Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Prevention and Safety Authority, explained that among the authority’s future visions is to create a generation that is aware of safety procedures, aware of the risks surrounding it, and is able to avoid them, preventing their occurrence, which allows spreading the culture of prevention and safety in a broader and more comprehensive way.
