In conjunction with the International Labor Day, which falls on May 1 each year, the Safety and Prevention Authority organized two awareness-raising events for workers over two days, in cooperation with the Emirates Youth Foundation, the Labor Standards Development Authority and Sharjah Municipality. Events to spread the culture of prevention and safety, to reach the various segments and to provide the necessary awareness about prevention and safety, in order to achieve the vision of the Authority and access to a safe society free of risks

The Authority organized an awareness day with the participation of 300 workers from 10 governmental and private bodies, in the station garden, in light of the consolidation of the human right to work guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the State, as a firm and closely related to the right to life and development and one of its most important tributaries.

The event, which was held on the 1st of May, included 4 different awareness tents, among which the worker moves to provide them with information about occupational safety and health, which protects him from work hazards and reduces his exposure to injuries. Medical clinic to conduct tests for workers, with the provision of special medical services for them, in addition to workers the importance of safety equipment and methods of prevention to include the practical and theoretical side through the Safety Exhibition, which displays the latest means of safety in the workplace and another exhibition on fire extinguishers and their use, and at the end of the tour Submitted Authority workers' awareness lecture on prevention in the workplace broadcast safety work culture, in addition to organizing the cricket match, to give an atmosphere of fun and fun for them.

On the 2nd of May, the TRA and the Labor Standards Development Authority organized an event with you and for you, which was held in Al Sajaa area, during which the TRA presented an awareness lecture for workers in Urdu, in addition to distributing awareness brochures in 3 languages ​​(Arabic, English and Urdu), on safety. Occupational health, in order to unify their safety concepts and inform them of the importance of wearing cheap safety equipment that is based on their protection and minimize the damage that may result from work, in addition to the accompanying awareness exhibition, which showed fire extinguishers and their alternatives and methods of use.
