The Prevention and Safety Authority launched a set of awareness publications concerned with preparing for the holy month of Ramadan, which aims to reduce potential risks in this holy month. The publications included safety instructions in kitchens and safety procedures for Ramadan tents, as part of the main awareness plan for the year 2023 AD. Eng. Abdullah Al-Majidi, Deputy Director of the Standards and Conformity Department at the Prevention and Safety Authority, explained that the “Authority” allocates monthly awareness on various topics of interest to members of society, in order to achieve its vision towards reaching a safe society free of dangers. The topic of preparation for the month of Ramadan was chosen within the awareness plan. To ensure readiness and preparedness to deal with any emergency incident during the month of Ramadan, in addition to the procedures and requirements for prevention and public safety, in addition to enhancing community awareness by broadcasting continuous educational messages on the platforms of the Prevention and Safety Authority to establish awareness and develop a preventive culture of fires among members of society, in addition to organizing awareness programs Virtual aims to spread preventive awareness among members of society.
Meanwhile, the authority called on families to be familiar with safety requirements in home kitchens, and to be careful when using cooking stoves, electrical appliances, and oil-contaminated air purifiers, to avoid domestic accidents.
  The Authority also invites the honorable public to view the guides of the Sharjah Occupational Safety and Health System, specifically the professional practice guide entitled “Preparation for and Response to Emergencies” OSHJ-CoP-18, due to its requirements for raising the safety rate.
