The Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority recently launched a three-month "heat stress" campaign to educate employers and workers about the dangers of working under direct sunlight during the afternoon, as well as supporting the decision of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, which prohibits performing work under the sun and in the sun. Open places, from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm, where inspections to monitor compliance will continue, until mid-September, in an effort to protect workers and individuals from heat stress risks.

The campaign plan includes distributing awareness leaflets in Arabic, English and others, published in cooperation with various government agencies, and organizing awareness field visits, during which brochures and posters are distributed and short awareness films related to occupational health and safety are presented to workers, through the “Your Safety Bus” initiative, which provides the opportunity for movement and attendance. In the targeted places, and lifting the burden of transporting individuals to receive those courses and programs from institutions and companies.

The authority emphasized the clarity of the integrative role of federal and local institutions and cooperation in applying the highest standards of occupational health and safety that are in the interest of the country and residents on this good land.
