Prevention and Safety launches an awareness campaign for university students

The Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority launched an awareness campaign entitled "Occupational Safety and Health for University Students", which was held in cooperation with the Deanships of Student Affairs and Female Students, Student Activities Department at the University of Sharjah, to educate university students and the administrative and academic bodies about safety rules on the campus in light of the Covid-19 virus. To learn about the surrounding risks in the campus environment and the prevention of Covid-19, as well as ways to maintain mental health, where Mr. Ali Al-Mazmi, a graduate of the professional diploma for the preparation of occupational health and safety trainers, presented the training program on the first day, and introduced the attendees to the safety and prevention guidelines 19 during their presence on the university campus, where 33 students benefited, and four training workshops are scheduled for university students.

In the same context, the Prevention and Safety Authority, in cooperation with the Umm Al Quwain Youth Center, held a training program entitled "Pharmaceutical Safety", benefiting 101 trainees from the general public. The program presented many important topics, as the program discussed risk management, the importance of risk assessment and control measures, The training program also explained how to store and keep medicines out of children's reach, general advice on using medicines, and procedures for using them during travel.

On the other hand, the "Salamatak Bus" visited the Al Hosn Museum in Khor Fakkan, which is affiliated with the Sharjah Museums Authority, where 10 employees were trained, and the "ENOC" station in Al Yarmouk area in Sharjah, where approximately 15 employees benefited from it. Support and building guards, and those concerned with occupational health and safety in government and private agencies in the Emirate, with the aim of facilitating their attendance of the training workshops provided by the authority, and reaching all community groups and raising their awareness of safety procedures, to ensure compliance with safety requirements at work sites, in order to achieve the authority’s vision to reach a safe society free of dangers.
