Sharjah, February 26 / WAM / Sheikh Saif bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of Prevention and Safety Authority, affirmed that the authority is doing its best to protect its children in the Emirate of Sharjah, through a number of initiatives that it launched during previous years, including the prevention and safety workshop with the safety of Hammoud targeting children From the age of four years to 10 years, which provides them with safety rules in the simplest form, and was presented to a number of private schools in the emirate, in addition to the child centers located in various regions of the emirate.

This came during the "Safe Schools" conference that was held in the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the presence of His Excellency Ali Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Authority for Special Education, Colonel Sami Al Naqbi, Director General of the General Directorate of Civil Defense, Zainab Muhammad, a representative of the Sharjah Education Council and a number of representatives of government departments in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Sheikh Saif Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi said that the authority has launched an initiative / Safe Schools / - in cooperation with the Sharjah Private Education Authority - to train health and safety coordinators in private schools and students, and the first phase of the initiative ended with the training of nearly 4 thousand trainees and we are looking forward today to start the second phase of the initiative to include All private schools in the emirate.

The dialogue session at the conference, in which the Sharjah Education Council and the Sharjah Private Education Authority participated, reviewed the results of the training in the first stage, in addition to the challenges faced by educational institutions in the field of health and safety and ways to overcome them.

And the Prevention and Safety Authority signed during the conference a contract "occupational health and safety" that aims to establish a unified framework at the emirate level as a standard for all requirements of occupational health and safety to provide the necessary requirements for all commercial activities and a work platform through which to monitor and control activities classified as "high risk" .

The authority also signed a number of memoranda of understanding with companies specialized in the field of safety to form a consultation platform and an experimental platform for the requirements of the system that will be developed in order to meet its actual needs and serve the requirements of the Sharjah government and be an added value for business in the emirate and to open the doors of continuous cooperation with all government and private bodies that hurt For the benefit of all members of society, in pursuance of its vision to reach a safe society free from dangers.

And Dr. Mohd Yahya Al Hashemi, Chairman of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, indicated that cooperation with the Prevention and Safety Authority came based on the convergence of visions towards reaching a safe school environment for our student students to achieve the authority’s vision towards a distinguished education as the authority seeks with its strategic partners to secure the school environment that the student spends a third of Today, safety is a basic requirement for all segments of society. The conference came to translate these visions and goals into reality.

The Sharjah Education Council stressed that the focus of security and safety in schools and kindergartens is a priority in their five-year strategy, which is based on several major axes in which the human element, students, administrative, educational and technical bodies, is a top priority.

And he made clear that joint cooperation with the relevant authorities is a main pillar for the success of the goals, stressing the need to spread the necessary awareness and security culture in order to achieve safety and security in the vicinity of educational institutions and the true partnership between institutions and the home and the rest of the authorities to enhance the principle of security and provide all the elements and requirements of security and society protection School hazards.
