Sharjah prevention and safety organizes 39 training programmes in 2021

As part of the Sharjah Government's Prevention and Safety Authority's efforts to spread the culture of occupational safety and health in the community and make it a life approach, the Authority organized 39 workshops and training programs presented by visual communication technologies, specializing in occupational safety and health to 2,098 trainees during the first half of this year, to raise their awareness of the most important concepts of safety and mechanisms used to manage risks and ways to prevent them. And make everyone able to sense and avoid the risks around him.
 

The Authority inspected 2,804 preventive inspection facilities, including residential and commercial, to monitor any potential risks, to increase their safety, to ensure the safety of their residents, to correct any situations that might lead to accidents and to ensure that they did not recur.

The Salamaki bus also visited 16 facilities from various government and private entities in Sharjah, and provided occupational safety and health workshops to 280 trainees in several languages to communicate information more clearly to recipients, taking into account precautionary measures.

The Authority launched three awareness campaigns: occupational safety and health for school students, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, The Department of Student Activities at the University of Sharjah. Thermal stress, so that it continued its efforts to raise preventive awareness of the dangers of heat stress, with awareness inspection visits to construction sites. For the second year in a row in the summer, residential towers are connected to the "Aman" early warning system, which links the towers' warning and fire systems to the electronic control room of civil defense.The Authority received 1,617 registration requests for the installation of the device during the first half of this year.

The Institute for Preventive Training (Salama) trained 1,493 different groups, including workers, building guards and occupational safety and health officials, to keep them updated.

Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr al-Qasimi, president of the Authority, said: "We are moving forward to increase the safety rate in the emirate to achieve its goal of reaching a safe and risk-free society.
