Based on the importance of occupational safety for employees and the constant endeavor to improve the human resources, Sharjah Safety and Prevention Authority organized a training program for the employees of the Authority, entitled "Security and Safety in Offices", in cooperation with a specialized training company, to train all employees of the Authority in good practices in all matters of security. And occupational safety and health in offices, to reach the concept of prevention and safety more broadly, and access to the latest global practices in the field of occupational safety.

The objective of the training program is to ensure the safety of employees in the Authority, to perform their job functions in a safe environment free from risks, and to motivate employees to report all practices that threaten their security and safety at work, to reduce the effects of various work activities, and how to behave in cases of fire, or Hearing alarms, and staff learned about the steps of using fire extinguishers, enabling them to identify risks and create a safe environment to operate.

The program addressed occupational health and safety policies, proper procedures in the workplace, the causes of accidents and ways to avoid them, to identify the risks and the rapid and practical response to them, as well as to identify safety signals and procedures and the use of workplace equipment, provide a detailed explanation about personal protection equipment, and establish an emergency action plan. .

Eng. Lamia Al Noman, Director of Support Services Department at the Prevention and Safety Authority, said that the training program came to maintain the health and safety of the human resources in the Authority, and to preserve the material resources represented by all tools and assets in the Authority, in order to reach the highest efficiency and productivity in performance and work, in addition to enable employees to deal with accidents Emergency work and control until the arrival of assistance from the competent authorities in the Emirate.
