Sharjah Sports launches the Our Clubs Are Safe project

The Sharjah Sports Council announced the launch of the "Our Clubs Are Safe" project, which targets the emirate's clubs as part of its strategies to distinguish its clubs and work to implement the quality system.

The project is divided into three phases. The first phase was recently completed, which included preparing the risk register and identifying the main points. The second phase will be launched in coordination and cooperation with the strategic partners, namely, the Prevention and Safety Authority and the Civil Defense to provide workshops, training and awareness courses for officials and those concerned with maintenance and prepare evacuation plans in clubs in accordance with With project standards in the sports sector.

In this regard, the Council witnessed at its headquarters the launch of the "Your Safety Bus" initiative on the sixteenth of August, in cooperation with the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority, and it will continue until next October.

It is noteworthy that the initiative is a mobile cultural project for the authority via a bus equipped to support cultural expansion in the areas of prevention and safety, through which a series of awareness films in Arabic and Urdu are shown in the emirate's clubs, targeting building guards and support workers from various construction sectors and those concerned with aspects of health and safety.

The launch of the initiative was witnessed by Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Board, department managers and a number of employees.

Issa Hilal Al-Hazami indicated that this initiative comes within the cooperation with the Prevention and Safety Authority as one of the encouraging initiatives on the importance of following prevention and safety methods that contribute to the safety of the target groups in implementation of the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council.

He thanked the Prevention and Safety Authority for cooperating with the Council in such initiatives that promote common concepts that the Council seeks to consolidate, whether at the level of sports and specialized clubs and their facilities or at the level of the emirate as a whole in order to achieve common goals.

In turn, Abdullah Hussain Al Ali, Director of Support Services Department, indicated that the Sharjah Sports Council attaches great importance to the "Our Clubs Are Safe" project, as it includes the implementation of all standards related to the quality and excellence of clubs, and administrative, financial and logistical integration, in addition to the security of facilities, public safety and risk avoidance through a plan. integrated over the next five years with clear objectives and outputs.

He pointed out that this initiative was coordinated and previous meetings were held with the Prevention and Safety Authority and the Civil Defense to review the best practices and controls in security and safety and to discuss ways of cooperation to reach the desired goals and the mechanism for preparing the clubs' evacuation plans so that they are met with the required requirements and the mechanism of cooperation in general and in the "Our Clubs Are Safe" campaign " In particular.
